What Goes Into a Korean Face Mask?
Like so many random things that get people talking, the Korean face mask has social media abuzz with its looks and so-called benefits. Maybe it is because South Korea has put such a spin on the beauty industry, offering multiple treatments in the country with a booming medical and beauty tourism industry.
Every other woman I know here in Thailand is always off to Korea for specialized botox treatment or a facelift that cannot be done in this country of top notch plastic surgeons, but must simply be done in Korea, because Koreans are totally in the know about beauty.
While this is a marketing spiel thrown out to world very cleverly, the Korean face mask had taken the market by storm, with women and men believing that the Korean face mask has some magical ingredient that no other mask has got.
Korean Sheet Masks
These cotton and natural fiber material masks may look spooky with their eye and nose holes, and scare the cat and your family members alike, but the material, infused with the best skin nourishing ingredients is shaped to sit snugly on the face, giving the rejuvenating ingredients a better chance to be absorbed into your skin, thus taking advantage of the close contact with the skin.
It may be slippery and wrinkle up while you are trying to get it to stay on your face but once it is there you can enjoy a good 20 minutes or so of knowing the moisture your skin so desperately needs will stay there and not dry out in the air, the way it does when you just apply moisturizer straight to the skin or stretch and get dry and itchy as it would with a regular clay mask. Thus, the Korean face mask certainly does the trick in keeping skin soft, supple and moist.
